Forthcoming in the Journal of the American Academy of Religion: Religion and the Corporate Form
In June 2018 my colleague Aike Rots hosted a fabulous event at the University of Oslo on religion and corporations in Asia. For two days after the symposium, Rots and I met with our colleagues Levi McLaughlin and Chika Watanabe at Voksenåsen, an idyllic Swedish retreat in the hills outside of Oslo. Fueled by delicious fare and the never-setting Nordic sun, the four of us hammered out an outline and preliminary text for a manifesto, “Why Scholars of Religion Must Investigate the Corporate Form.”
After receiving generous feedback from several peer reviewers, our article has been accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Academy of Religion. We are finishing the final touch-ups this week and expect to see the article in print soon.
This was my first co-authored publication, and the experience was phenomenal. I learned so much from brainstorming with these brilliant colleagues, and we’re already scheming on our next co-authored venture. Stay tuned!
