I’ll be offering a response to a talk by Duncan Ryūken Williams, who will be sharing his new book with the Asian Studies/Asian American Studies community at Penn. American Sutra: A Story of Faith and Freedom in America in the Second World War is out from Harvard University Press in February. There are a lot of points of overlap between Dr. Williams’s book and my own forthcoming Faking Liberties, so it should be a great conversation and a lively event.
